| To use the calculator, click here to download and save the file to your computer. Then open the calculator with Calc or a similar spreadsheet program. Calc is part of OpenOffice, an open-source software that is available for free download at OpenOffice.org. | |||

| To use, enter the dates when data will be entered, the planned growth goal (e.g., one word a week, two words a week, etc.), and then enter the student's data after each progress monitoring session. | |||
| The calculator will show a goal line based on the number of weeks and the growth goal you set, and then graph the student's data. The student's progress can be compared to the goal line and the instruction adjusted as needed. |
